Louise Parkin, Managing Director and Senior Project
Manager
(BA Geography and Education,
Diploma in Librarianship and Information Management)
Louise began her career in libraries in 1983 but it was just a matter
of time before she would apply her information management skills to a
variety of roles that included project management, event organisation,
fundraising and research.
Founding Saints in 1997 has allowed her to
have the perfect job in her book – using her training and experience
to assist organisations with contributing to the highest possible good
every day. Outside work and family activities, she teaches aikido and
personally supports charities that are associated with environmental,
peace, development,
social justice, women's issues and entrepreneurship.
Katrina Reilly, Research Manager
(MSc
(Hons) Biological Science, BA - Philosophy)
Katrina began working in the information industry in 2000 after a career
in the biotechnology sector.
She began working with Saints in 2003 on a part-time basis alongside
a role as an indexer at the National Library of New Zealand. In 2007,
she joined us full-time and has taken over the role of Operations Manager.
Katrina is interested in development issues and supports UNICEF.
Jane Caie, Researcher
Jane has 10 years experience as a prospect researcher with a leading
UK conservation charity. She has experience in all the areas of research
including trusts, corporates and individuals, however Jane's main focus
is research for major donor campaigns.
Since 2002 Jane has also worked with a number of freelance clients providing
individual research services accross the country for universities, hospitals
and charities.
In her spare time Jane loves to walk in the Surrey Hills with her Lakeland
Terrier, Phoebe.
Katie Preston, Research Projects Coordinator
(Diploma in Information and Library Studies)
Katie's career began in public libraries in 2002 and she started as researcher with Saints in 2008. Now as Research Projects Co-ordinator she can combine her love of information and the not for profit sector and use her skills to help many different charities and organisations.
Katie is now working from the recently established Auckland office.
Outside of work Katie supports many charity and volunteer organisations and has been involved with Rotaract on Auckland's North Shore. Her passion is people and communities and as such she likes to be involved with projects that enhance community spirit and wellbeing. She also has a strong interest in charities working with Human Rights, Environmental Issues and Canteen and Youthline in particular.
Chris Gibbins, Research Assistant
(BA - History and Political Science)
Chris moved to Wellington in 2003 to study history and political science at Victoria University of Wellington. In the final year of his degree (2005) he volunteered regularly at the national office of the Green Party NZ.
Chris began working for Saints Information Ltd in late April 2006 and is employed on a part-time basis. He describes the work as challenging and exciting; a great way to start out in the workforce.
Outside of work Chris's main interest is music. He plays guitar and keyboard
in a band and also writes his own songs.
Tessa Seemann, Office Administrator
(BA English & Political
Science)
Tessa has recently joined Saints after an extended break from paid employment
while she has been bringing up three children.
Prior to this she worked in University Administration at Otago University,
and also has some banking and legal exec experience.
Having had a child undergo emergency neurosurgery at 16 weeks old, with
the family staying in Ronald Macdonald House during this traumatic time,
she has a natural affinity for charities working in this area.
